Hello!
I've been reading through the forum for about 2 weeks so I get the "feel" of the way things work around here. Never been to LOS yet planning on it in the coming months (Sept or Oct) with a friend of mine. I know its awhile away but from what I have read here its Wellworth the wait.
First thing I said to myself was time to travel! Thailand was my first choice since I love the food. I didn't know much about it though. Then I found BKK Tonight. I told myself it is not going to be the 15 day vacation I thought it would be, more like a whole lifestyle change. I read other forums (this one too) on the BKK nightlife, that ppl travel there constantly going back for more. I knew I made the right choice. Printed up the Newbie Guide for the friend of mine and all he could say was, "Massaggeeee Time!"
Well see ya around the forums and maybe at the RT.

Hello Dreadlox, and welcome to the forum! If your first time to LOS is anything like mine, you'll manage to fulfill nearly every desire sites like these hype. How many destinations can live up to that? Printing out the information you find important is a good idea because getting online in Thailand is easy, but extremely slow. It can also be rather expensive relative to other costs, especially if you’re getting online at your hotel.

Printed a nice deal of info on places I would like to see, Ruins, Temples, Clubs, Restruants, etc..
The only time I see that I will need to be online is to read e-mails from co-workers. Mostly Business related. I will see if I can log on every 2 days or so.

If you want to see some incredible ruins and temples I would recomment the trip to Angkor Wat in Cambodia, it is about a 15 USD round trip by bus (a LONG 1 day trip), 12 USD per night in Siem Reap, and 20 USD for a 1 day pass to the temples. All in all with the bus ride you can count on 4 days.
There are also ladies there for 10-15 USD for a long time, but be careful as lots of them are VERY yong. I have been there 2 times and would definitely go back for a 3rd time.
