For my first visit..should I join one of those sex tours or just try it by myself? Or would it be possible to get some one to meet me at the airport and show me around for just the first couple of days for a fee

jumping jimmy, I too a newbie and I had never been to bkk either. I would suggest that you would check out the "Members' schedule" and PM some brothers from this forum if they can meet you somewhere or pick you up from your hotel for your first hunting night....bc in my opinion, going by yourself on your first night is a wast of time and money..... I rather spend the money for buying few rounds for the bros..from this forum....when r u planning to go?..i am planning to go this fall...might be we can even meet in the airport or something if we can plan arriving on the same day....

Jumping let me jump in here as a relative newbie to the whole scene.
You DO NOT need to spend your money with an organized trip serivce!
Everything you need and I mean everything is right in the pages of this site thanks to BK and all the brothers.
For me I really needed to be alone on the first trip, and I think that is just a piculiarity of my personality, but I plan to meet a few brothers this time around.
Jumping based on all the reading that I did here before my first trip, it went like this. Dropped my bags off at Majestic, came back out the front door in a hurry, turned left, turned left once again, and it was over!

Start reading this forum.... a lot!!! That is the best start. Then, meet up with a member or two for a day or so.... Read their posts first to find out who/what they are about. All that I have met are pretty regular guys despite what they may write in the forum. A tour is ok, but you dont really get the flavor. Do mini tours.... JMHO.
