HOT NEWS FROM OCTOBER 2003 RT .
At the October 2003 RT it was decided that like all good hotels and restaurants it was about time that the BkkToNite Forum had it's own unique Cocktails .
After consulting a number of experts in the field some recipe's have been created and these RT Cocktails will be available at all RTs from November onwards .
Before listing out the newly developed Cocktails - here are a couple of Cocktail jokes to lighten up the atmosphere :-
(1) A sweet young thing who was attending her first Cocktail Party sashayed up to the Bar and said to the Bartender , "I really don't know what to drink" . The Bar-Tender trying to be helpful asked her , "Well do you like Cocktails?". Immediately her eyes lit up and she said , "Of course I do - have you heard any good ones lately ?" .
(2) All the animals in the Jungle were attending the monthly Cocktail party when the King of Beasts proclaimed that each one would have to pay for a round of drinks . The Elephant volunteered the first round followed by the Tiger , the Bear & the Hippopotamus .
Then the Giraffe stepped up to the Bar and loudly announced , "OK guys . The High-Balls are on me ."
And now back to the RT COCKTAILS :-
(1) The RT DiaKiri - This is a very potent and volatile Cocktail that currently has more than 4,000 ingredients that can be used in it's recipe' - although at any one time there are only about 100 active ingredients . A very difficult recipe' to concoct as it requires great dexterity to blend the often volatile and sometimes agitated ingredients into a refreshing and intoxicating drink . The Bartender ( after whom the drink is named ) tries his best to accomodate all ingredients - BUT when some ingredients are too disruptive he has a very smooth knack of lasering them out .
(2) The Kryptonite Punch - Don't mess with this one - just one sip will put you away .
(3) The PingaCaloda - Although it has a "Soapy" texture this Cocktail has the ability to both excite and soothe . Most imbibers claim that with a "Pingacaloda" you can be sure to "spend" a good evening !!!
(4) The TWD ScrewBall - Not recommended for the prim & proper crowd . Has a tendancy to push one to the Lunatic Fringe . Ironically it has the reverse effect on those already "one satang short of a full Baht" - e.g. DG .
(5) The Waltzing Matilda - this concoction comprises of a "rum" bunch of ingredients ( Oz , Whisper , etc.) . For an evening of fun and laughter there is nothing to match this drink . There is one ingredient (DG) that is waiting in thw wings to be incorporated into this Drink - maybe when this ingredient matures a bit and loses some of it's raw taste .
(6) The ChicagoGuy Cocktails - A must at all RTs . Forum members just can't do without them and relish the ingredients like NanaHottie , NoHandsHottie , etc . We all eagerly await the latest Cock Tale .
(7) The Yurune Therapy - (This is not really a Cocktail & is not even Alcoholic , but in the interests of Naturopathy it has been included ). This drink is very good for general well being - However when agitated the acidity (Ph) level rises dramatically . At this stage the imbiber is said to be "taking the piss" .
(8) THe Smegma CheesePlatter - Again this is not a Cocktail , but a good snack which goes well with most of the RT Cocktails . Most of the cheeses on this platter have a very "tangy" taste but there are times when some cheeses are of a smooth texture .
(9) The FastMover MorningAfter - This too is not really a Cocktail , but since it is a good cure for hangovers it has been included . For all those who suffer a hangover the morning after an RT and want to clean out their systems this drink is very highly recommended as just one sip will make anyone puke .
