I am sure that everyone remembers the now defunct MOS in Soi 12 which was then replaced by the recently closed Double O.
Anyway that whole business is being wound up and the MOS company is looking for a buyer for their sound equipment. It may not have been the most successful club but it certainly had the best (or loudest) JBL music system in Thailand.
Anyone interested PM me.
PS I posted this in this thread (rather than classifies) cos I am not getting anything out of this. I am just helping a good mate - who is the major shareholder. He has been in an Indonesian jail for the last 5 months because his employer didnt pay some government taxes (no charges, nothing). I am sure some of you know this guy - Mark Greenwood - feel free to PM me if you want an update on his situation.

"Mark Greenwood, the Managing Director of Indo-Pacific Resources (a subsidiary of Fortune Oil & Gas Inc), was arrested last Monday and is now being held at Cipinang Prison. The government decreed “earlier this year that anyone with more than $20,000 in overdue tax can be jailed without trial for up to a year.” Critics say that holding individuals responsible for company mistakes could hurt foreign investment even more."

Bad luck seems to be something of an understatement.
He is being held at the Cipinang Jail - know as the Indonesian Alcatraz.
His company owes US$5.4m in back taxes - money that the company simply doesnt have. Mark is not a shareholder in the company, simply an employee.
A more worrying press report...
According to a report earlier this year in The Jakarta Post daily, tax cheats “will also have to pay for their own security” during their time in prison lest they “become victims of sodomy”.

To be honest they are not going to be easy to get rid of. This is the industry I work in, I know a few distributers of high end equipment in the far east and 1 in OZ give me a few days and I will chat to them see what they say, I know one of them has taken 2nd's stoke before but I am not sure if they will go for JBL's not there normal line but I wil try. Any friend of a member of BKK tonight is a friend of mine. And I hope your buying the beers after this.

Having been a former member of MOS I can attest to the great quality. This was stated as being the BEST sound system in Asia and 5th best in the world.
Maybe I could buy it for a song for my house and drive every stray dog into Cambodia.
It proves the old adage, It's not the equipment that you have, but knowing how to use it.
This would be an interesting test study case in Thai business for MBA's.
