did'nt really know where to put this,but thought this was as good a place as any.
after chats with a few members,it has been decided that there will be a little gathering.
one of our esteemed members... came up with an idea of meeting in a restaurant.
this way we can all just relax,have a quick meal and get to know each other.
hopefully we can meet in:-
The Thai Pavillion, 42 Rupert Street, Soho W1
for those of you who don't know London that well(like me)i can send a map if you wish.
Rupert Street is off of Shaftesbury Avenue heading towards Leicester Square.
afterwards we can move on and sample the delights of London?
we already have around 10 people intending to attend and if any others in the region see this post and fancy the idea,get in touch with me.
i will leave things until the end of the month and then book a table(s) under a given name and all will be told which party to ask for.
time will be 7 pm and name of party booked will be posted on the Forum when we have the numbers.
also one of our more interesting members might have the answer about what to do late at night.
he might be able to arrange accomodation for those of us who live out of London for the night.
but again,i will need to know which(if any) members would want to stay overnight.
this is because the rooms will have to booked in advance.
August 1st will be the cut off point for accomodation booking.
thanks to all who have spoken to me in advance and let's hope some other members see this and come along.
ok,not as good as a RT in BKK,but a chance for us to meet up,have a beer and a good chat about our experiences.
but i must admonish one of the members,my friend Chilli...
he cannot turn up at the gathering as he prefers to visit Asia on the same date.
shame on you,deciding to spend time with those wicked girls instead of us old farts........
perhaps BK can do what he promised earlier.
ring us up and have all his girls wish us a happy time...
