Hi guys!!
Have now lived in BKK for about 8 weeks and love every minute of it... hope to see you guys one of theese days... (probably have but not known it)... As you know songkran is coming up and I was thinking of going to Pattaya for a couple of nights... do yourecommend this? Is it overcrowded during this time? How are the girls compared to BKK?

Songran is a pain in the ass in Pattaya. Last for a week. Good looking women all over Pattaya. Should you go to Pattaya; sure come on down. You will have a great time. once you have tried songkran in thailand, you will be most probably gone the next time, as it really gets enerving, especially upcountry!
fun in the beginning but after 5 days soaked with water i just cannot stand it anymore!
best places to get the songkran feeling in bangkok are khao san road and silom especially patpong!

Personally, I enjoy spending my Songkran holiday up country near Lei. It is right near the Loas border. Reason being that there are not an over abundance of farangs there, so the people don't tend to get so wild as in Pattaya and Bangkok.
When celebrated in moderation it is the best holiday I have ever helped celebrate. Happy Songkran!

Pattaya for Songkran? Well, IMHO if your purpose is to keep banging around just keep your dick in Bangkok. You have a large and better selection of TGs here rather than Pattaya. Quite a few cuties will go home to visit their parents but you will still have lots of choices to hang around with....

Yes, usually one Songkran will do it. Besides it's damn hot in April. I met my little Tilac on Songkran so it can't be that bad.

i was in pattaya for songkran this year lol
great fun but it gets annoying when you get soaked again and again and again lol
i didn't mind at first but there are times when you think, i just want to stay dry for gods sake! it's fun on the open back taxis when u are quietly minding your own business and you get a tidal wave of water down your back and shorts brrrrrrrrrrrrrr lol

The worst about songkran is not just the constant soakings but more where the water comes from - poluted rivers, butchers ice blocks etc - Hello typhoid etc
