I planning a trip to pattya in 2006 (May) from US - NJ.
I don't feel like just going by my self. Any member interested in teaming up? This would by my first trip.
Please let me know.

Here is my advice,
Book your trip. Forget about trying to match up with someone else. You could end up booking your whole trip only to find out you are stuck with someone who doesn't match what you like to do.
If it is your first time in Thailand don't just pass BKK and go straight to Pattaya, take a couple of days to check out BKK also.
Try to have your trip land on a RT date, better if it is at the start of the trip.
Get BK to put up your schedule (when it gets closer to the time).
Post in the section meeting members (when it gets closer to the time)
Post constructive and funny questions and replies to people's FR and other posts on the board.
Also post a little more closer to the time you will be getting ready to leave for Thailand.
This will mean the board members start to notice who you are. Avoid flame wars. PM help full people to ask questions if you have any.
PM some of the guys living in Thailand and ask if you can buy them a beer for a chat. Let people know it is your first trip and you are looking for someone to show you around.
Know what bars are LB bars  Nothing like dragging a newbie to his first go-go and taking them into a LB bar as a joke.
Follow the above info and I think you will find you shouldn't have to much of a problem hooking up with some people to show you around (assuming you are not a jerk of course)
You also could try joining a couple other boards and posting on them also. PM me if you don't know them.
Repeat the above on the other boards also (nothing against this board by the way BK).
Just go you will have a good time.
When you get back home post a couple of good FR's

We were all newbies once....
i generally agree with Bimmher, except that if you're into beaches, clean air, and less big city stuff, then yeah, straight to Pattaya from the airport is fine.
There are always bros to hang out with, and like bimmher said, around three weeks before you go, just find out who's on the schedule and PM them, get together for a brew, and if they are jerks, (yeah, I've met a few), then just go off by yourself, and meet up with some other bro's.
I understand totally why you'd like to hang with some bros. It's alot more fun havin a wingman, or being a wingman, and some of the bros', (Local, you listening), know the town real good.
I'm pretty sure I'll be back in April 06, so if you're around I'll be glad to hook up for a beer.

I should be in Pattaya from 15 April thru 2 May. I've hooked up with a few guys from this forum and http://www.pattayatalk.com Most guys are at least worth the time to have a beer.
