Hi,
Having been reading this forum for the past two years - since my last backpacking trip to SE Asia - I can't understand why the vast majority of posters on this site seem to be businessmen. I know the Thai experience to be every (young and old, rich and poor) man's dream. However this site seems to be the sole domain of businessmen who (understandably, given the exchange rate) overpay at every turn. As Thailand is so cheap, my question is where are the backpackers??
(I'm a 28 y.o. teacher in South Korea BTW and make a reasonable salary, but I'm not in the Marriot hotel league (plus ur very likely to get blown up in western capitalist hotels in Asia!!) )
PS I've never paid more than 1,000 LT (apart from a 2500 ST moment of weakness in Krabi) and have never taken a girl who was less than a 7. (That's not bragging just fact.)
