Need some help on an update for best airfares from Chicago to BKK around Sept. 19-21 . Have not made res. yet and wondering if priceline is the way to go this late or anybody have any suggestions or current news. Thanks.

Not really going to answer your question coz I live in Singapore...anyway just booked my flight to LOS for October and it cost me a total of.....USD$108.
I think this is the cheapest I've got, you would probably end up paying 8-10 times more for yours I suppose.
Not rubbing it in or anything...buy you a beer if you are still around on 16th Oct.

I paid $765USD r/t forom Philly to BKK in October on United. I booked this on UA website. If you are ony going to make one or two trips to LOS then priceline is a good deal but you don't get frequent flyer miles. I'm a Premier Executive level member on UA and get double miles. I pay for 2 trips and the 3 one is free. You may do better to price a flight to LAX and then price one from there to BKK. The cheaps seats fill up early so book as soon as you can.

I read from another post that SIA(Singapore Airlines) is offering flights in the $500++ region.
They have really lowered their prices...have you guys looked into this?

Arrived via Singapore Air from SFO for $604, including tax. Singapore Air is a United partner but, after purchasing, I found out this fare wouldn't qualify for UnitedPlus Miles. Still, no regrets. Excellent service, cute honeys, got blisters playing that Nintendo pinball game.

Slightly off-topic , too...
From Scandinavia I got my flights 772 eur.
Flight to Copenhagen , from there to Bangkok and backways . 200 eur cheaper than Thai and miles apply to Star Alliance.

Edited in : And FF miles work , too. Last trip I had in LOS , I paid with my miles and got "free ticket".

I've flown with SQ, good airline. I would also check Korean, JAL ANA and others websites for cheap fares. If you can try and fly one airline so you can get frequesnt flyer miles. No ff on SQ cheap fares.

ANA not cheap-I fly them all the time. Figure around $950 (for weekend departure and return) for a W-class (discount) fare. Korean (KE) had some cheap fares around $650 or so the last time I checked.

Would be nice if you told us who your primary carrier or what FF program you belong to. Priceline is not always your best bet for cheap fares

I got a Cathy Pacfic cybe fare from 545 from New York to BKK round trip. Including tax its 604, the best deal I have got in year. Leaving Oct 17 return Nov 12th.
