Anyone can help me with this little question/problem? Need to rent a smaller car (Honda Jazz or similar) for a longer period at a time: 3-6 months at least, maybe even longer.
Searching the net has gotten me so-so results, but I´m sure there must be better alternatives. So if anyone out there know where to find a good rental car deal - I would sure appreciate it! Preferably automatic since lady likes that more when driving herself. If you know of a rental service in Hua Hin that would be great, but Bangkok is also ok.

Wow that is a good monthly price..... 12K
I paid twice that per month 3 yrs ago and I could have gone as many months as I wanted afaik. I used Lumpini Rental on Whittayu / Wireless Rd across from the Park and near the Police Station. My car was about 2 yrs old and in reasonalble shape. It was a Toyota Vios.

Just checked with them and they do not have any reps in Hua Hin.

When I was living in Phuket I rented a Honda City for 12K a month..
Never seen one stateside, it was a good little car...like a smaller version of the Accord..
This was 4 years ago but I would imagine they would still be in the 15K a month range..

A good example of how perfect the forum can be! Sat and "googled" for quite a while, gave up and put a question here! See how fast I got a really good advice from a bro member - and voila - problemo fixed!
Will for sure rent a car from Highway next time for a longer period. Just a little worried that I will have to drive myself to Hua Hin and have never done that! Always sitting in back of car with driver and not really noticing where to turn etc. But a map and some good will must do it. And it´s about time to start driving in the country after all these years! Have never felt I wanted to since the traffic is so crazy and hectic. Quite a different story in homecountry where the discipline is a bit different....
Hope I dont cause any accidents!

my good old friend tpe2 is referring to new models, if you actually go there, you will find older models (not that old) that go for 12k and below.

Just called Highway rent cars and asked for a Toyota Fortuner, they asked 40 000 per month or 4000 per day. Not so cheap compared to the 2500 to 2700 per day I'm used to...
