About 6 months ago, I flew RT Bangkok to Manila for about 12000 baht on Philippine Air. It was a pleasant flight, about 3 hours I think. I checked several places in BKK before buying... I finally settled on a small travel agency called 'Blue Smile.' I chose that place mainly because they seemed to really be in business, the lady named 'Hung' seemed professional, the price was among the best I found, and they came thru with real tickets on a real airline. [Plus I loved her name.] It is up Soi Kasem 1. Soi Kasem 1 is about 50 meters walk from the National Stadium BTS stop on the side opposite MBK. Then walk up the soi, just before you get to the Patumwan House sign at the end of the soi, 'Blue Smile' is on your left.
I plan to make that trip again soon. I would also be interested if anyone has a better suggestion, especially a better price.

Does anyone know anywhere I can book a air and hotel deal to Davao or Manila? I would prefer Davao but if the airfares are cheap than Manila is ok. Also, is their any airlines or travel agent that you could suggest?

You should try the classifieds in the Bangkok Post Newspaper.
There are always some interesting value packages, last minutes flights with or without hotels, special offers...

I'm planning to go to Manila and Cebu within the next week or so from Bangkok. Does anyone have any updated info or tips on what airline to fly, where to buy the ticket, and/or how to save money on these flights?

emerald- I just did some research on this topic myself. The cheap seat flyers make it tricky. Jet Star Asia flys BKK--SIN-MNL but you cannot book it direct [in one leg] and when I called to try and accomplish it they told me the idea is to force you into staying over night in Singapore.  Bastards!
And Tiger Airways does the same thing with their BKK-SIN-CRK [Clark Air Base] route.

Skip,,, yep they try that BUT who says you need to use the same company for each leg???????????
Lets say Airasia for BKK - SING at 1299BHT arriving Singapore at 10:25am,,,,, quick change of planes onto a Tiger air leaving Singapore at 11:50 and arrive Clarke ( Manilla) 15:25 ( Sing $141 ).
I was going to work out the whole trip but got lazy.
Each airline INDIVIDUALLY tries to get you to stop-over, but that cannot be achieved if you make the use of several airlines.
Either way WHO THE HELL would want to leave BKK to go to the Phillipines??????
AHH must be for business as I cannot see any other reason.
