Most of my long flights are from the UK top the far east and I fly mostly thai. I have never had a own screen in cattle class before on thai.

Northworst does not have them in economy. Luckily I have enough miles to upgrade to Business on my next trip. Once I am done with those miles I am never flying Northwest again.

I flew Cathay Pacific (CX) last month to BKK and they had several movie and music channels for the screen in the headrest.
There were options for games but I don't how those operate.
One channel was designated for the GPS with the plane's (747-400) location, altitude, speed, head/tail wind speed, and distance and time to destination.
Decent food on CX with attractive FAs too.

IMO: out of all the airlines that do have the video and other gizmo's in coach, if I had to fly coach, then I'd pony-up the $$$ and either fly Singapore or ANA.
Both have oustanding service no matter what class you are flying, and cute stewardesses. Not to mention all the gizmo's. Makes it tough to get some sleep on the flight with all the distractions!! ha ha ha!!

Yes, the Singapore Airlines system allows you to pause the movie, FF or RW to any part plus they have a huge selection. Pay the extra, its worth it.

I just checked rates on Singapore air and they are actually not bad, around $687 roundtrip. Only problem is they don't fly through Japan, and I wanted to stopover there for a few days.
