I take the bus from the "northern station" right at the end of sky train (mo chit station) 97Baht and it is only 1 1/2 hours, very comfortable and air conditioned but the last bus is at 7:00pm.

The next hotel after nana is-dynasty inn and yes they have free bus from bkk to pattaya.

I assume the free bus is only for Dynasty Inn guests traveling to the other Dynasty hotel in Pattaya. Can non-guests take the bus for a fee?

you can take this bus for free and are required to stay in their pattaya hotel at least for one night. do not know if you can also go for a fee! the bottom line is you have to book for 1 night at their place in pattaya and do not stay there. so it willbe about thb 700. still cheaper a little bit than taking a taxi from downtown sukhumvit area!

Yep those baht bus drivers sure try to rip you off. Think I paid about 100 baht for the bus to Pattaya (1.5 hrs) and the baht bus driver wanted 60 Baht for a five minute ride to my hotel.
