Hello guys,
I,ve been twice recently once in late Jan and again in March,both times flew with Etihad airways and had a stopover in Abu Dhabi.
Ticket was about 350 quid and they are not a bad airline, the flights were always only half full so sleep not a problem and they try hard with the service.
Best thing,maybe?? is that they only charge £30 when in Bangkok to change the ticket and delay your return home if you so desire...........which I did twice......another story to follow!
Hunting around for a price for a May visit perhaps going direct this time and the best I have found is 373 with Thai airlines and a package for £650 including six nights at the Landmark with Expedia or again flight only around the £340-50s with Etihad via Abu Dhabi, from Heathrow or Gatwick.
The land mark deal isnt bad but last time stayed at Centre point in a massive apartment got upgraded for free and you get spoilt having so much space, great to have a choice of balconies, tables, rooms, to bonk in!
As a guy already metioned President Solitaire have some great deals as well at the moment until end of June I think.

Just done a search of the major sites and the cheapest fare I can find at the moment from London to BKK non-stop is
£370 ( Thai)
dates 1/5 - 30/6 ( for outbound leg, min stay 7 nights, max stay 30 nights ) with Lastminute.com

Just checked east-west travel and those fares dont include airport tax which would be a another £50 quid.
Cheapest I have found now thanks to a tip in the other thread about flights is between £313 to £318 including tax,dates I tried were dept.24MAY return31 MAY.
That is for a direct flight with Quantas out of Heathrow, use http://www.traveljungle.co.uk this then shows you various mainstream companies offering this pretty good deal.
