I like the new 777's on Eva, but not enough to pay more if CI has a better price, I'm not eligible for FFM so it's economy for me, (I can deal w/that knowing whats waiting for me and I'm well sedated on the out bound trip) food. seating about the same including lay over time coming and going
I always book for the 1am arrival, no crowds at airport or Hwy and I'm in my hotel around 4am w/a PTY beer bar cutie
Yes, (WJ) Tues thru Thur best time to fly, several times I've had 3 seats in a row to myself making a nice bunk to lay out, always ask for bulk head seat, you can move, when the doors close if I see 3 empty seats in row I stake a claim

Low season airfare price reduction wars going on !
China Air and EVA plus taxes 600 bills prior to Nov 30th
Should round up enough steers for a large cattle call !
All the West coast hubs; SEA, LAX, SFO lowered to till high season..... no milage given for super cheap econ tp BKK
TLCV Asian bros at work can take their families now to see the old country and grandparents at a decent ticket price. Hong Kong and Saigon lower for them as well.
Get em while the airlines have a fuel price hedge.... decided with the old usual China Air 2x tickets purchased with milage Q rate 80% gives me another 25k for the year...although I hate their milage plans

It's funny - when I priced the summer season 3-4 months ago, the tix were all in the $1,300 to $1,400 range.
Now, with the reality of swine flu, fear of flying, and recessions worldwide, the same tix are available for $600, even when bought for just a couple of days in advance (except Mon/Tue, when they are $1,100 - what's up with that).
I loves me some recession.

Just booked w/my travel agent, November, C.I. R/T LAX/BKK $560 plus tax, flying to BKK w/a tour, don't have to join the tour and come back anytime within a month

Airlines fuel price hedge several quarters out... so far low fuel prices and falling travel sales have brought prices down....SFO/SEA/LAX to BKK,HNK,SGN
.... some of those airfares deals China Air, EVA have no mileage granted.... watch them of your a frequent flyer etc
Get em while you can ! Ive grabbed several on CA since Im FF with them.... Star Alliance ? I havent checked.... many promotions you can book through Nov 30th 2009

Asian Man,although it is more difficult to predict exchange rates than it is to spot the lady,as a general rule the more the global economy improves the more likely it is that the $US will decline in value against other currencies.
In times of global economic crisis there is a rush for familiar safe havens such as the $US.
You will recall how weak the $US was just before the sub prime mortgage meltdown,and how it then considerably strengthened.
