the SQ (Singapore Airlines) cabin cew stays at the Tawana Ramada Hotel, 5 mins from Patpong. u can find them shopping at the Patpong nite market after 11 pm, or u can find them at the Marble House Traditional Massage!
consumption of alcoholic drinks on board is free, u can drink as much as the cabin staff can serves u, but all are told to monitor the passengers' behaviour, that means if u can hold yr drinks, u will gladly be served another drink! the supply will stop if u become rowdy, loud, abusive and making a nuisance of yourself and becoming a threat to the safety of the plane and to other passengers!!
the first class is only attended by the Leading stewards and stewardess only. the bar cart has all the premuine labels.... Don Perignon 1993 or 1988, Krug Curvee Champange, Hennessy XO, Johnnie Walker Black Label, Chivas Brothers Royal Salut, Bombay Shappire Gin, JDs Bourbon, Barrcadi Rum, Taylors Port, Baileys and not to mention fine vintage wines!!
sure, u can get a taste of them, just pop up an excuse like its yr honeymoon, birthday, yr wife gave birth to a son blah blah...... to the senior crew ( those in dark blue, green, red or grey uniform), yr request may be accomodated provided theres ample time!!

Just made a reservation last night for my next flight on Singapore Air. Just hope they've got the "new" 1995 vintage Dom Perignon for me to sip. Also I drank Johnny Walker Blue the whole way to Seoul on Korean Air the last time. They're not too bad, but not nearly as nice as Sing.

I got an excellent service at Singapore Airlines. The flights even in Economy Class were very pleasant. You get as many drinks as you want throughout the whole flight at no cost and the stewardess are helpful, young and fresh on top of things. Like SNOWBIRD, having wide shoulders and sitting in an aisle seat (which I always request) you are constantly being brushed by those gorgeous and petite oriental buttocks. Nice stuff indeed.
Something nice also is that small TV screens are placed even at Economy Class flights so, you can freely select the movie/game/news channel that you wanna enjoy. I only got similar service at CATHAY and JAL.
On the other hand, AIR CANADA is a crap. I flew Vancouver-LOS non-stop (more than 14 f_cking hours till Hong Kong) and short flights like LA-Vancouver and always is the same thing. The service provided is made by about-to-retire stewardess (fat 45+ guys). Something funny I experienced is that if you require extra drinks (besides water) i.e. coke, soda, beer, etc., which in other airlines you can get for free, you have to pay for 'em. My jaws fell down since is the first time ever I saw such a crap. I am use to long distance flights 12+ hours and I've never ever seen such a crap policy before....Moreover, the stewards were darn fat and kept waking up all the passengers sitting in the aisle side each time they cross through the hall....
God!!! Such a difference with the BKK-SIN-AMS I took with SQ weeks before....
Furthermore, AIR CANADA got plenty of old and non-improved aircrafts, so it does not have small TV sets on EClass so, you have to stuck with the stupid unknown movies and the only 3 channels for music provided by the airline. Such a crap, really.
My rating for the best Economy Class flight:
Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific and JAL (with no doubt).

Thanks for the Air Canada info - you've just confirmed my worst fears! I will be flying with them in February as far as Incheon and I am not looking forward to the journey. I Ýcan't believe those assholes even charge you for soft drinks - until recently they were the only outfit serving my neck of the woods here in Canada - 2.5 hr flight to Vancouver and you used to get a hot lunch, now they just give you some crummy cold snack. The stews are a bunch of fat old dogs that barely fit the aisle - apparently this particular flight is a plum assignment for them and seniority rules - and the regular cost you don't even want to hear about.
The only saving grace of my flight is that it is an airpoints flight, my first ever. Incheon - BKK and BKK-HK will be on Thai airways, which I'm sure is better.
Another thing nice about SIA girls is that they are a pleasant mix of nationalities, too - i.e. Malaysian, Indian, Chinese, etc. Love that variety!

Oh! you are Canadian, sorry, but what I said in my post is what I got mate. Couldn't believe such a crappy service, really. Glad you share the comments.
This has been my worst experience ever while flying through STAR ALLIANCE partner companies....I would love to get more flight through CATHAY and JAL but they barely hit Latin America. f_ck!

My travel company has come back to me and offred me an even cheaper flight treveling from Manchester to Bangkok with Qatar Arirawys changing in Dohar.
So what do you guys think if this airline, I understand it leave at 10ish in the morning as well so it not a night time flight so you end up arriving in BKK in the early morning.
Any comments would be welcome.

My favorite airline, used it on my first flight to LOS in 1992. ÝAlways check fares for subsequent trips and, I lucked out for my August-Sept visit, Singapore had lowest fare from SFO. ÝUnfortunately, have short layovers in HK and Singapore, but the cute flight attendents make up for it.
Thanks for the tip on inbound flights, I'll wait until after the Singapore layover before I put the pinchers on. ÝI should be good and juiced by then. Ý

I have to second those compliments of Singapore Air. I was impressed with the fact that the flight attendants cleaned the restrooms every hour (not that I hang out there). Compare that to Northworst, where, if you're lucky, they pitch in a smoke bomb toward the crapper a few minutes before landing.
