In Manila,, they don't let you go up the escalator or stairs to departures but I tell them "I have to change my ticket" and they let me up.

it's a 3 km busride to the taxi pick up.
however you can take a limo directly from the terminal to town.
my guess is that somebody did not grease some palms and that somebody did.
expect limo prices to double, though.

Time to make more business friends with cars to come get me after the Pacpond crossing. Southern BKK is closer to Pattaya. BKK freeways aint that bad, LA jam city for hours. If BTS train out there taxis would disappear. Watch for the freelancers rip offs bro's. Always get a carosel metered one. Too many taxi punks tryin for the farang steal. 300 baht to the Suk, 1000 baht to Pland. etc etc better yet have lots of Thai business buds that want to get away from work to get ya !

i'm arriving on the 2nd of october, it's possible I will land here, what a bummer don muang was perfect for me,
i stay in Ram and they showed a train link to Ram station, not sure if that's open now or will it be the same as the airport link from don muang, never finished.
never mind a new airport thai need some new planes badly,
