I have trip EWR-BKK-EWR on EVA confirmed at $1,304 in Evergreen Deluxe, including all taxes, service charges, etc. Outbound second week January, returning two weeks later. Best I could do on any carrier in economy from NYC in that time frame was $1,050 and I'll gladly pay an extra $250 for the comfort of Evergreen Deluxe. Plus EVA has a great departure time from EWR - 11.15 p.m., which means I have a good chance of sleeping quite a bit of the flight (natural tiredness is the best sedative). arrival time in BKK is also good, around noon local time. That's the best price I've seen in some time. Did you book it on the EVA website? Thanks for the info.

I researched it pn the EVA site, but did the actual booking on the phone with an EVA agent. She was very helpful, she found me as seat in ED on a date when the website said there weren't any seats available. Evil

i'm planning to fly out in early february on EVA- unfortunatley econ. was wondering how econ was, I flew evergreen deluxe before and loved it. but now the econ is $917 and evergreen deluxe over $2000! last time I flew the differenece was only 2-300 dolars so wondering if econ class seats more comfy than cathay and if anyone knows a way to get evergreen deluxe seats cheaper than the EVA site. thanks.

What I liked about EVA compared to all the other economy flights is their seats recline the farthest back. Service was good, there drink policy at the begining of the flight was pretty liberal. Although Cathay had the best food, EVA's was better than China Air. They were very accomidating in getting me an exit row seat as well. It makes a big difference when you can stretch your legs out. koolbreez

when I fly eva I always enjoy going to the eva lounge in the morning between flights bewteen the west caost and bkk. the I gobble down a few beers and some voBKa rocks at 6 am. the looks I get are wonderful, but alwso makes the next leg a little sleepy for me... 3 hrs before touch down in bkk. quick taxi ride to my apartment, then a shower while the wife unloads my suitcase, we meet in bed at the same time for a most wonderful 1 pm session.......
