Hi all,
i'm doing a round trip of Southern Thailand beginning of Feb for 3 weeks, & i'm wondering whether it's worthwhile booking the internal flights now, or will it be better (cheaper, availability?) when i get to LOS?

Maybe someone else knows something I don't, but from all I've seen they cost the same there or here. The only advantage to waiting to book them there is greater flexibility.

The last time I was in LOS I booked internal flights in advance from home... when I got to LOS the prices were the exact same as I had paid at home.
I suppose if you have something pressing arangement where you have to be in that place at that time then booking in advance to gaurantee a seat would make some sense, but if your schedule isn't too rigid, I'd do as Leaford says and book there. You never know.. you might hate one place and want to leave ealrier than expected.. or love a place so much you might want to extend your stay.
Either way....... enjoy your trip !!

thanks for your advice guys, & yes i may not like a particular place, so i may want to go earlier than expected. My only concern is availability, though from the airline sites i've visited there are seats available at the moment. I just don't want to be caught short!
In any event, i believe the airlines are quite flexible if you wish to change your flight date.

Hi Addy.
a word of warning about Phuket.
Thai Airways have 14 flights from HKK to BKK(and vice versa) a day,but they quite often cancel half empty flights and put everyone on the next flight.
this has happened to me more then once.
i find Thai are quite relaxed about checking in and you can turn up very close to take-off time,but a bit of advice.
if your flight is 16:00,turn up at 14:30,your flight may well be cancelled but they will put you on the 15:00.
in all my flights between HKK and BKK,i have never caught the advertised flight,always the one before.
i find the only flights which are not cancelled are the first and last of the day.
