If you are looking for a map with the street names and sois, the best one I have come across so far is the Official Map of Bangkok. It has the street names in English, Japanese and Thai. All the bigger hotels (including a lot of the popular ones with the bros), points of interest, embassies, money exchanges, and many many more other important information to tourists are marked on the map. The portion of the roads that have street vendors are highlighted. Also on the map are important phone numbers for all the different airlines, embassies, etc. The map is free and you can pick up a copy at the Bangkok airport. They are on little stands in the baggage claim area, after you have cleared immigration. I have a bunch of different maps, but the free official map I picked up at the airport is the best.

Is there any map of BKK which also shows the routes of the new MTS? I can't seem to find any kind of route map of the MTS anywhere on line (after lots of searching). I know it isn't open yet, but for those like me planning a move to BKK in the near future it would be helpful to know where the stations are going to be in relation to condo blocks etc.
