Hi Guys, Before anyone UTFSEs me, I've checked it without much success. Is there a flight service from Pattaya to Chiang Mai? I was thinking of getting the train from BKK but that would take the guts of a day between checking out and checking in of hotels. Cheers bros, Partyboy

there is Ive heard it was $200 to do but I dont know any of the details what I can do is advise you against taking the bus I took a 3.5 hour bus ride from pat to bkk standing up and stuffed in like sardines then 12-13 hours in a "premium " bus the seats, although roomy for a 88 lb thai chick but was cramped for a 160 lb 5'8"farang the bus broke down on the way up with exaust filling a cabin full of sleeping passengers.. too frequent lengthy stops.. smelly blankets.. ugh I dont even want to talk about it

Can recommend going by train from BKK to Chiang Mai. Travel first class and you will have a 2 person couchette wich has 2 sofas / benches which convert in the night to 2 beds. Reasonable comfortable and a nice way to travel. Food service on the train as well as beverage service. (I got severly drunk with the lady who was taking care of my section of the train, the TG was sleeping) Departure in evening and arriving early morning in the North. Do not recall the price exactly but $200 is way too high as a guess. I think it was actually less than B2000 per person.

First class sounds good. There's absolutley no way I'm paying 200 lids for any inland flight
