Do not know about kilometers.
Time from airport to terminal depends at the day and the time of day.
At sunday 0900 You can cover that with less than hour in a taxi.Monday 1745 it may take rest of the evening ( harshly said).
If You take taximeter , it costs the sum of meter + tollway payment + 50 baht for driver.
Are You heading to Pattaya , like the southern bus terminal hints ?

To go to pattaya you would use the Eastern Bus Terminal or the Northern Bus Terminal at Mo Chit.
The Southern Bus Terminal is over in Thonburi and sends busses South to Petchburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumporn, Surat, Phuket, Ranong, Krabi, Nakhon Sri Thammarat, Songkhla etc.

In an attempt to answer your question: there is NO Airport Bus to the Southern Bus Terminal, which Yurune has identified as being in Thonburi. There IS, however, an Air Conditioned public bus, which stops in front of the airport, and will take you to the Southern Bus Terminal: Route 10 Airport - Victory Monument - Southern Region Bus Terminal approx. 18 baht, but you had better pack a lunch, because it is a LONG ride, with MANY stops. At least you will be sitting the whole way...
If you actually want to go to Pattaya, then you have Airport Bus A3, which will take you down Sukhumvit to Ekamai and the Eastern Bus Terminal for 100 baht. Travel time will vary from 30 min. upwards, depending on the traffic. Buses leave every 20-30 min from the Airport Bus Stop in Terminal 1(?).
Unless you are on a VERY limited budget, and your time is not worth much, or you have a LOT of it, these options are not really much fun after a long flight, but up to you.

After reading a couple of other posts from ps02, it is clear that he wants the Southern Bus Terminal, to go either to Samui (Suratthani) or Phuket.
