I am going to Cambodia and Thailand this December. I want to stay only in Thailand, but because I have this girl in Cambodia so i have to go...do you guys know any good places in Phnom Penh...and anybody going to Cambodia this December? also, how much does it cost to get Cambodian VISA in Thailand, and where?

can get Visa on arrival, good for 30 days, will cost $US20 - but better off tossing in the Cambodian girl for a thai ... Too much hassle with beggars, army/police demanding $ everywhere you go, and just not the laid back thai style of action - Accomodation in Phanom Phen plentiful, some not bad hotels for around US$20, location important as you dont really want to be walking far at night -

i have a girl in Cambodia...so i don't worry about that...and i know Cambodia is dangerous...so i will stay in my hotel...because i will be in hotel at late night...i am going to stay in a nice hotel (compare to others in PP)...
Inter-Continental Hotel. if you bring girls to your hotel...do they bother you? because i am Asian...probably they won't...i am not sure...and would you tell me some good places in PP...like street names/numbers or places.

In general all hotels in PP are not bothered about the extra lady guest at night. If I am not mistaken, the Inter-Cont in PP runs for about USD150.00 per night for a standard room. The Inter-Con is kinda far from the central district area, but you might want to try other hotels like Sunway, Cambodiana, which are closer to the central area.
It is ok to venture out at night but not on foot. Better hire a motodop to take you around which is much safer.

thank you...hm...then i will probably change my plan...did you visit Cambodia recently? i heard it is not that safe to go anytime 2003...i asked my girl in PP but she does not seem to fear...or notice anything violent however i can't trust because she lived there for long time and probably used to the situation...

HOLY CRAP! Tell me that's a typo. 150.00 US dollars a night for a standard room in a hotel in PP. Remind me never to visit Cambodia  . Peace

What did you hear? Can't you just have her meet you in BKK, or crash somewhere across the border in Thailand, in a nice hotel, and then take her with you - put her on a plane at the end of the trip.
