hiya, i'm flying to bangkok in august and i'd like to know which is the cheapest and best way to get to nana hotel from the airport please? is it quite a way? thanks

Cheapest way is to get the Airport Bus. Take service C (Sukhumvit Road). Tell them you are getting off at Nana Hotel and they will drop at the nearest bus stop. Only 100 B

Let me see, if you catch the regular taxi at the Arrival Hall, you will have to pay about 300 B or so. 50 B for taxis from the airport (at the Arrival hall, you don't have to pay this if you catch them at the Departure Hall  ), to get in faster tell the driver to take the "Tollway" or expressway, that will be another 40 B, and then the taxi fare which will be variable, depending on traffic. Perhaps 150 B to 200 B or so.

Take the taxi it beats the hell out of the bus. For the $5-6 difference you might think that it's half a BJ but who wants half a BJ?

I normally walk out to the expressway, even cheaper, but then again I travel light ; You may have to pay 2 tollway or in Thai "Bai Tarn Duan" fees, a 40bt and a 30bt, depending on which way he goes, one problem on comming off the freeway at Sukhumvit Rd, they cant do a right hand turn into soi 4, Nana Hotel, - if hes smart he will detour up soi1, and thru the hospital ground, or if you are travelling light, quicker and cheaper, to say to him Sukhumvit soi 1 [ soi Nueng] - or even soi 5 [ Ha] and then just cross at the big intersection and walk 50 yards to the Nana. Total cost just under 200 bt.

I gotta go with Casey, if you haven't been to Thailand before, definately go with the taxi. Print out your reservation form, have it handy, make sure the driver understands "Nana Hotel" before you get in. Put your bags in the backseat, not the trunk and sit next to the driver. Shake your head vigorously and say "No" forcefully every time he pulls out a brochure for the Massage Parlor he wants you to go to before you reach your hotel. When you get to Nana Blvd. and you see the "Nana Hotel" sign written on the side of the building and your sitting still in traffic, if you don't have alot of luggage, get out and walk it from their, probably not more than a block. Have a good time.
