For example from nana soi 2 to somewhere near soi 11

I have never timed myself, but it takes about 15/20 minutes to walk from Nana, soi 4, to Emporium, soi 24, IMO

depends on your pace, actually Nana Soi 4 to Soi 11 is not that far. 5 to 10 min tops!

You can always use the Skytrain when distance is too far for you and/or it's too hot to walk.
I think from Nana to Soi Cowboy is about 10/15 mins by foot and from Nana to Emporium is about 25 mins (not 15/20 mins), but this depends how quick you are.
I always walk between Nana and Soi Cowboy, love the fresh air on Sukhumvit Road 
Untill about the Asok intersection the even and odd numbered sois of Sukhumvit Road are more or less opposite each other, but from Asok (Soi Cowboy) this isn't the case anymore. The sois with the odd numers do follow each other much quicker from there on then the even numbered sois.

Think of a Soi as a city block. If you heading down Sukhumvit the even numbers are on the right and odd on the left. So from Soi 5 to 7 it is a block. There are some smaller Soi's such as 7/1. The distances are not that much.
