Bros,
I'm just back from a month long stay in Thailand and the daily grind over here in Blighty is too much to bear.
Gotta some time off at the end of December/ beginning January time and seriously thinking to board the 1st flight from London ---> Bangkok, to get that old magic back.
Trouble is that Xmas is high season time and I haven't had much luck in finding a seat on any airlines and even when there was one still unsold, it costed an arm and a leg.
So the question is: does anyone know where one can find last last minute deals or a website/travel agency I can try?

One time I was similarly stuck and could get a seat only on Christmas eve. Seems to open up on flights are to or from Christian locale. Seats should be available on 12/24 from Blighty to BKK.
The up side was that although the plane was almost empty it still had a full contingent of hostesses. GREAT service - enough space and time for them to sit and chat up, with open bar, (they had the foresifght to have eggnog mix on hand) in an otherwise dampened holiday mood. We had laughs taking bets who would spot Rudolph first and trying to figure what other holiday drinks we could mix up from what was onboard.
If you go for it take some holiday drink mixers in case they didn't have the foresight. You'll be the center of the party.

Last xmas I got back from a trip away on the 21st of december and tried to get away for xmas the only seat I could get was arround £1K with emirates and not even bloddy business, so eneded up staying in the UK till the 27th of dec.
This year I have allready booked my KLM ticket from my local airport just less than £700 but at least I know come the 20th of december I have a ticket and am good to go.......

hey I a newb here but you guys should try out this site http://www.skyauction.com, as it sound u bid for ur fight and the dates are within a certain time span but I seen tickets to bkk end up for being around 500 and tour packages with hotel and air end up around like 800-900 U.S. hopefully that'll help
