anybody tried phuket air from london to bangkok as I am getting reports they are doing promotional flights at £300
what are they like type of service how old are the planes etc etc etc

Stuck in a pub,
I went to Phuket Air's website and they only have domestic destinations, unless I missed something. There fleet is 737s. I got a ticket for 366 pounds round trip on Etihad airways with just one stop. Gulf Air was a similar price.

was in london yesterday saw an advert on the side of a black cab
london gatwick to bangkok with phuket air
had an email from a friend in chang mai saying they are offerring £300 return from thailand
if its a good service I might try it for next trip as swiss air have raised there prices
which was pretty good as they flew from london city airport and thats only 10 miles from my house
tried there website which has the london bangkok route

I've seen Phuket Air 747 parked at Phuket Airport and Don Muang. Pretty large planes to fly only domestic!

Yep, I did miss something, my bad. I've never flown Phuket air but at that price how bad can it be? I would do it. Probably lesser quality of service, but that's splitting hairs when your saving hunders of pounds, not just a few.
As for the fleet. A 747 is a 747 and an Airbus is an Airbus. Both are reliable makes. If you got into Russian airframes, then I might hesitate.
Why don't you click on Phuket Air's contact us tab and email them asking who you can buy a ticket through? Let us know what you find out.

I fly with Phuket Air next week so I will let you know how it was.
London - Bangkok direct £399.00 incl. taxes.
I have been told the planes and service are the same as Thai International who I have used many times.
Can't wait..........

I believe they also run a Bangkok-Dubai-London flight, which may bring the price down.
The Trolley Dollies have nice uniforms on their domestic services.

will also get my travel agent on the case
imac man will be intrested in a field report on what you think of phuket ai when you get back
its likely that the stewardesses are ex thai internatinanal
or bangkok airways
when thai oreint airways started and failed a few years back that what they used
so the standards should be pretty high
