I posted this in "Anything else?" too because I was not sure where this post should go... I will be leaving Afghanistan after 11 weeks in Kabul and plan on arriving in Bangkok on December 24th. As it stands, I will spend 10 days in Pattaya, 8 days in Manila, and 4 days in Phuket. Quite frankly, I don't want to carry around a couple of pieces of luggage that I do not need during this vacation time. What can I do with this baggage while I travel around? Any suggestions to this unorthodox question is surely appreciated. Furthermore, If anybody would like to meet up during the following dates, lemme know. I'll buy ya a beer... [cheers] Pattaya: Dec. 24th - Jan. 3rd Manila: Jan. 3rd - Jan. 11th Bangkok: Jan. 11th - Jan. 13th Phuket: Jan. 13th - Jan. 16th Bangkok: Jan. 16th - Jan. 17th

If you have hotels, you don't have to carry them around all the time. If you're concerned about checking out of a hotel and going out for the day, most hotels will keep it for you until you pick it up.

The "Left Luggage" at BKK Airport is 45 Baht per day and is open 24/7. I just left some there for 3 weeks - very safe and secure - they will photocopy your passport. CZ

If you plan on coming back to the same hotel, just leave the bag (s) there, they should give you a claim check.

This is what it says on http://www.airportthai.co.th/airportnew/bia/html/service9.html#others2 Left baggage services are available for the convenience of passengers at both of Arrival and Departure Halls of International and Domestic Passenger Terminals. The charge of service is Baht 70/piece/day with a maximum storage allowed of 6 months. Tel: 0-2535-1255, 0-2535-1250 (International) and 0-2535-1134 (Domestic) Maybe this info is still correct, who knows?

Yes, the info is correct. I stored one large bag for 5 days at the Bangkok Airport when I flew Air Asia to Phuket. No problem! Stored alll my souvenirs, bottles of wine from Mai Sai and extra clothes etc.

45 baht, 70 baht, and now 90 baht per day! (per piece) I just used this service. Open 24 hours, but I had to go to 4 locations in the International terminal before I found one that was not full. Using a hotel that you will visit again is a good idea if it works.
