What is the best way to get to Hat Yai from Phuket. I understand htey have trains from Surat Thani. How long does it take to get to S-T from Phuket. Am I better off taking a bus and if so how long?

Take the bus - VIP not the local

Time around 5-6 hours cost not sure but around 250 Baht

Unless you have a reason to go to ST them you will make the journey longer

Several leaving every day from the Phuket Bus Station
