It's very hard to find and book a accomodation (Hotel) in the high-season! I tried by Internet (for Koh Samui and Phuket)... but till now... nothing! Question! It's cheaper booking by Internet or directly by the hotel? If I will go ex. to Koh Samui - without booking - will I pay more, if I try directly be the Hotel? Any adwise? Greetings from Switzerland

Can't say for sure but I reckon a lot of hotels might just tell internet-bookers that they're full so that they can get the higher prices from folk that walk in. It might be better just to turn up on the door and ask. It's a bit risky but you're gona be riskin' a lot more on yer trip to LOS!! Cheers

It's not hard to book a hotel for the high season, unless of course you've somehow managed to wait until the high season has already begun. Book early and you never have to worry. In any case, I would never, ever, just show up on my first night without at least a one-night reservation somewhere. A friend of mine tried to pull that shit and he got his ass handed to him. Expect to pay rack rates for walk-ups during high season. If you have the cash then by all means, knock yourself out. Otherwise you'd be better served by shopping around before you show up. Stick with places that allow you to cancel the reservation and you can just keep on shopping for the best price right up until the last two days before you arrive.
