Does anybody have a good number or website in the UK for Flights to Bangkok. I'm coming up with some ridiculous prices for the end of January right now.

Flights to Thailand are very expensive from the UK at the moment compared to this time last year where I was able to get a flight for £320. Your looking at around £500-£600 for the same flight at the moment. Unusually flights in April and May were more expensive than in January but I think this was a result of the bird flu outbreak.

This is a comparison engine and will compare loads of agents and give you a huge choice, teletext.co.uk is much the same.
If you can't find a flight from the Uk go to ebookers scroll to the bottom of the page and start hunting their international sites eg:from frankfurt to bkk - euro flights are dirt cheap with no frill carriers so getting there wont be a problem - failing that start looking at flights to the surrounding areas of thailand asia has loads of no frills carriers. Last but not least don't worry too much - I was trying to get a flight for xmas - the prices were sky high in the months before- but all of a sudden they dropped - I flew with Lufthansa for £600 as I collect Star Alliance air miles - but Etihad pushed out a flight for £500.

from 15 nov to 15 of mars I think the prises goes all the way up in the roof. Maybe now they will go down. I dont think many people will go to Thailand right now

I doubt prices will go down unless people are put off in the long term and I really dont think this is going to happen.

I haven't seen prices drop yet. HKT is still running well over $1,000 USD RT from TX and BKK is still in the $800 USD range.
That's assuming you don't mind flying mid-week on a sub-par airline (such as UA).
Maybe there are better search engines than the ones I use.

Thanks for the info guys. Got a quote yesterday for £1000. I flew this time last year for £380 including 3 nights at the Boulevard Atrium. If anybody spots any bargains that they are not taking themselves, let me know.

i checked before and flight s from the uk are expensive.
Try through amsterdam, or brussels if you can get a cheap connecting flight.
i am flying in april 1 april to mid may is the cheapest price I was quoted fro china airlines.
im paying 585 euro including tax from schipol to bkk direct which is 350 pound roughly.
this is through travel agents that book up and make special deals with the airline and with the hotels.
probably wont help much as it is in dutch but here is a link showing prices so you can see.
