Last year, I was in BKK and Pattaya from mid February to March. Getting a hotel wasn't a problem, it wasn't too crowded, and the tg selection was good. I'm planning to go to both places in late January 2005. I know its chinese new year, so I'm wondering if its much more crowded, if hotels like Honey Hotel and Manhattan get booked due to the holiday, and if the holiday impacts quality tg going earlier or prices. Before anyone tells me to look up the info, I didn't find it. I have contacted some hotels and there are vacancies, but I'm not sure how fast they book. I know there will always be many tg in both places.

I was in Bkk for chinese new year last year and although I got lucky and was able to get a room at Majestics at short notice, a buddy of mine was unable to get a room at any of the usual places like GP, Nana, Majestics, Manhattan, Ambassador, City lodge etc and had to settle for a room at nana inn. So my advice is to book your hotel now if you are sure of your dates.
