Comrades,

Korean Air is always the cheapest I can find during Christmas time. 830 LAX-BKK. Very good service and very clean. The hostesses clean the toilets every 90 minutes. Food is shit like every other airline. I always order the fruit plate and that was good. I just bring some grope, hard cheese, and nuts to accompany the fruit. The seats and leg room seemed to be a little better than most. The only disadvantage is that this is the longest haul. 13-13.5 hours to Seoul and 5.5 to Bkk. You leave LAX at 11:30 and arrive at 1AM in three days. It is roughly 21 hours. Much different than the 17 hours with JAL. Coming home is worse. The flight leaves BKK at 130AM, stops in Seoul, stops in Narita, and then on toe LAX at 730AM. Very depressing.

I'm taking Korean Air to Bangkok in February. Flying from Atlanta direct to Seoul and then on to BKK. My first time to fly the entire trip in coach. I'm not looking forward to this part of the trip. For those of you who have flown Korean what seats would you suggest for the long flight in coach. Is Korean normally full from Seoul to BKk? Part of my reasons for choosing Korean is that after two flights I'll be in Gold Medallion level and earn a 100% mileage bonus on my flights to BKK. Also, free upgrades and companion upgrades. Hope I can handle the long flight.

I prefer exit row as close to the front as I can get. I lean against the wall and sleep.

I flew Korean last year. The flight was full from Seoul to BKK, but not the other way around. I prefer the window seat, so you have only one person next to you. I thought the food was better than the usual peanuts they give you on flights in the US. I didn't mind the long flight because I knew where I was going. Sleep through some of the flight and it won't matter. The nice thing about Korean is you can get extra food if you want, which I requested by mistake and the flight attendants look good.

Flew Korean Air twice last year and found their 777-200s to be very comfortable.

Mr Alan
I have flown Korean Air several times. Only thing that bothers me is that the seats are hard as rock. About half way through the flight, I was sitting on my blanket.

777s are great. I always get to the airport early and get an emergency exit seat with a plenty of legroom.

I found the seats to be quite comfortable. I flew home on Dec. 29 and there were plenty of empty seats.

Yes, the schedule and flying time is horrible.
