I just booked LAX-BKK w/ JAL for 760 (I had an extra 30 bucks for weekend travel). May flights are usually in the 630-700 range. My agent always gets me very low prices and she told me that prices are going up. I know that if I wait until the last minute, I might get a good bargain, but I have little flexibility with my dates.
Get em while they are hot.

It also depends on where you are coming from. LAX might be cheaper and more carriers in comparison to other cities. I can't fly JAL from where I am, so have less options.

bkkmaster, which airline did you get and is the 590 inclusive of taxes, etc.? I got united for 681 inclusive of everything departing feb 28 return mar 17.

harold, that is just price not including tax. Like a retard I originally purchased my ticket for like $980 back in Oct-Nov. Once I knew I was going I got all excited and just booked it. Then around Christmas or so the JAL fares went to a special and were at $590. So I had to call my agent and he sold my ticket back and I purchase at the lower fare. However those pecker's penalized me $150 per ticket for the re-sale. If you haven't ever flown JAL you would have to try before pre-judging them as they have hot hostess' and most of them are Thai  Maybe I'm just a horny ass.

I had to book for End of May. Around $1000 with AA from the midwest. After May prices are another $200. This is for weekend travel. If I was able to leave beginning of May would be around $850. Maybe some last minute stuff but I can't wait until the last minute.
