Hi chaps, I was just wondering.
I was in Los in November 2004, and it was really cool, field report to come soon.
hopefully making it again this year, last time I went from the 5th of Nov till the 25th Nov.
but this year I will be going for two or three weeks in December,
just wondering what are the difference between the months for pricing and busyness????
is it a better month to go or worse???

If you're talking airline tickets, don't expect any discounts or cheap deals for departures/returns between Dec. 15 (sometimes earlier) and about Jan. 15. It's very much high season. Over the Christmas and New Year holidays, hotels also charge full price.
The first two weeks in December can be a good time to travel in terms of prices because so many people are holding off until later in the month, hence more empty seats/hotel rooms than usual. However, you also hit the King's Birthday, a national holiday that keeps virtually all P4P establishments closed.

I was in BKK on business from the 15th through the 31st last year and aside from the King's Birthday there is a large influx of holiday travellers which drive up hotel prices.
There could bigger influx of holiday travellers this year as many of those who customaraly go to Phuket may still shy away from that area and hit BKK and Pattaya instead.

between what dates??????
do u mean go-go's like on soi cowboy and nana, or are u talking about soapie's??/
closed??, is december a bad month to go, I want action lol,
what can I do about this are the first two weeks of december safe time???
advice please, I had such a good time on my first trip, I want it live up this time or exceed it
i'm hoping the place is busy, on cowboy /plaza and patpong, and I plan to go to pattaya for a week and phuket for a week as well.

Been awhile since I was in Thailand during the King's birthday, but I believe it is Dec. 5. As I recall, all gogo bars, MPs, etc. were closed that day. It's still very easy to find P4P girls, but the many of the usual venues are closed for one day.

one day isn't a problem by any means, as long as it is just one day lol are there any other times that it would be like that????
i'm guessing the reason it's high season and hotels are expensive, it that it must be busy.
so is there likley to be any other problems worth noting, and are there any good point about going in december
can anyone give me the list of pro's and cons

I was in LOS between Dec 13, 2004-Jan 6, 2005. Don't wait tillthe last minute to buy your airlines ticket, purchase it now to get good discount. Book your hotels months in advance and plan your trip inside Thailand accordingly. If you have your airlines tickets and hotel bookings, every thing is nice and dandy. P4P never stops in Bangkok, Pattya, or Phuket.

I was in LOS last year, December 6th to December 18th, or so.
No trouble scoring at all, and at least in my case, I paid regular prices for my hotel, and everything else (though I noticed prices being hitched up pretty much around December 10-15).
You'll be fine, just be prepared to possibly pay more - particularly if you fly anytime after the first week of December (hint: Check JAL for good prices, they were low arond December 6th)
