I want to fly on the 20th dec but there are only seats on the 13th at £800, cann anyone sugest any agents apart from west/east travel,
tried the net but all around £800

issanking I just did a really quick search on expedia and got a flight leaving London on the 20 for 6 weeks and it would cost 594.70. If you shop around on that site you might get a better deal.

Flying Xmas is always expensive; could you travel a week or so earlier?
The 20th will be one of the busiest days hence the high premium.
Budget tickets for flights from late November till way into February must have already gone or were never available in the first place.
Airlines like everybody else trying to get as much money as possible and Xmas/New Year is the best opportunity to charge high prices, if you do not whish to pay premium rate maybe you should think about changing your plans as hotels, girls, etc, will be charging more as well.

Try other sites - I go to cheapflights.co.uk, not for the prices as I can never find them, but for the direct links to travel agents websites.

hi there
I am flying out on the 22nd dec this year and paying 650 with qatar airliunes I booked through dial a flight heres there website.oh and thats flying out of manchester but a bummer of a arrival time of 7.30pm that will get me to pattaya at about 10.30pm I hope then I hit the town for the last few hours.i was also wondering if any1 has use the morning flight out out of heathrow to bkk on thai air and whether it is worth the slight extra they charge.

issanking, heres a top tip if you are in UK hop over to AMS (Amsterdam Airport) on easy jet for 20 quid having first booked your ticket through the Schiphol web site. You can get economy rtn 600 700 euros China airways always cheap but the food is crap.
Search their special offers and last minute deals I usually book early and can still get a great deal even on Business Class.

If you book a cheap flight to Amsterdam and then Easyjet either cancels your flight or doesn't make it in time to make your connection with China Airlines. Not sure how this works, but does this mean that your trip to LOS goes up in smoke?
You might be safer booking your entire flight from the UK with China Airlines (they use KLM for the UK to AMS sector), rather than booking the UK to AMS sector with a budget airline.

I'd avoid the online booking route altogether, I've never found the cheapest rate going that way.
Get in touch with a travel agent, someone like Trailfinders. They'll have access to far more flights and will have all the latest cancellations etc on their screens. I've always found way cheaper flights letting them find the options for me.
As BB says though, this is peak season and you will struggle to get anything around the £600 mark.
