Hi, I am planning to go to LOS next year for a extended holiday between 4 and 6 months. What kind of visa should I apply for. I am 39 years old and have a Thai wife. I have already looked on Thaivisa.com but I still don't know. All help and advice welcome. THX, soidiamond

basically, you are f***ed, you will end up doing visa runs if you plan to stay that long get used to it if you just make a run to the border and cum back w/o applying for a visa at an embassy or consulate, you only get a 30-day tourist visa but if you go into the country and apply for a tourist visa, you can get 60-days, and then extend that visa you can extend a 30-day visa, but it's the same fee, but for half as much time extended

LY don’t know what you are on about – the guy has a Thai wife and can get a non-immigrant O class visa for up to a one-year stay in BKK. Minimum he should end up with is a multiple entry O visa (based upon Thai spouse) each entry valid for 90 days. To get the O valid for one year he will have to either prove income flow or 400,000 baht in a Thai bank. Soidiamond – check with the closest Thai embassy about necessary paperwork for non-immigrant O class visa – based upon being married to a Thai.
