I would love to take some full day tours outside of BKK during my time in the city. Can anyone recommend a fairly priced tour company with a website or phone #. What kind of things can you guys suggest for picture taking and scenery. I definitely want to be back in the city by nightfall for sightseeing of another kind.

Why not get a TG to stay over, then rent a car, cost you about 1200 bt, [Lumpini Car rent OK ] with a map and a TG for a tour guide, you should get around fine ...

for a bit of WWII history, go to Kanchanaburi and see the Bridge on the River Kwae, the cemetery and the small museum. about a 1/2 to 3/4 day trip.
Almost every hotel has a tour agent in the lobby with a book that lists the tours with pictures. There are temple tours, floating market, Chatuchuk market, Royal Palace, Alligator farm, Mini Siam, dinner boat rides - depends on what you want. If possible arrange to go by yourself instead of a group or you will waste 1/2 day driving all over BKK picking up/dropping off others. Best thing to do is pick up a girl, tell her where you want to go and let her make the arrangements. More fun travelling with a cutie.

It's owned and run by a Dutch guy and there's a couple of other Dutch guys work there... and the rest of the staff are Thai... but from what I could make out they all spoke excellent English.
Oh btw... all tours are available on an individual (as well as group) basis. Like Upena, I cannot stand spending an hour picking people up from 3 different hotels.
