Need some advise here please. I came with far too much luggage for some very good reasons and am wondering what my options are.

Basically I got about 6 more weeks of holidays to go and would like to store a couple of bags in BKK somewhere secure and pick them up, or perhaps access them in the interim, maybe trade out some clothes.  And, if I were a golfer maybe I'd want to park some clubs too.

But, I'm getting ready to make some side trips into the LOS countryside, Cambodia and Burma and would like to be packing just one shoulder bag and one suitcase. So! What are my options?

Actually, I'll offer the first one here which got me thinking about this thread. Walking down soi 11 recently I went into a sub soi where I discovered the historically quaint old Thai style teak backpackers place-

The Suk 11 Hostel located at:
1/13 Soi Sukhumvit 11 (behind 7-11)
http://www.suk11.com
tel: 02253-5927/8
fax: 02253-5929
email: suk11@suk11.com

Though it has a very nice charm about it, at least it appeared so in the 15 minutes I was there, something about backpacker places don't register very high in security and stability, at least in my mind that is. But! They will store your bags for 40baht/day/bag. Not bad eh?

Anyone else have any ideas for me? I need to find a place in the next week. Surely BKK has to have some good options. Anyone know of any more?

If you are coming back to stay at the hotel you are staying in Bangkok, I would ask the bellboy or deskclerk if you could leave some bags there for your return visit to Bangkok.  Maybe even book a reservation right there.  Tip whoever helps you on this issue.  I think you should be fine then.  I have heard from others who have done the same.

I have left luggage at the hotel I was staying at frequently.  I make sure that I book at least one night when I am returning.  Never had a problem.  They put a tag on the luggage, and you pick it up when you return.  Just this last time though, the Honey Hotel charged me 10B for this service.

Gee! I never thought to ask but it makes good sense to book a night (or more) on the return end and keep it there. I'll be back in BKK for the weekend and ask around but I seem to be in a butterflying hotels too mode. LOL
