I have read in another forum about Larn Island. It is suppose to be out in the middle of Pattaya Bay, and is probably the most popular day trip from Pattaya. Anyone been there, and what is the attraction?

Cali there is little there to do,it is very nice and the sea is clean.it takes about 40 minutes on the big boat and about 15-20 on the speed boats.

I've been there (Ko Larn), and well.... I miss not being able to swim in the sea off Pattaya/Jomtien, so being able to go in for a swim in Ko Larn is an attraction for me. The boat ride their is nice too (cooling).... and dirt cheap. Something like 20 baht each way from the pier in South Pattaya. The beaches (there are a few of them scattered around the island) aren't stunningly beautiful or anything like that, but they are nice enough and it makes a pleasant change of pace from the biz of Pattaya. I saw Ko Larn was advertised locally as "the coral island", well the only coral I saw was longgggg dead, but still muchhhhh better than Jomtien/Pattaya.
