In the time I have been here I have had 2 condom breaks with bar girls. I have checked all their paper work with their establishment but still worried. So far there is nothing like herpes or warts or crabs. It has already been almost 3 months since the last break so I think I am in the clear for those.
I am most worried about HIV. I have a girlfriend now and she and I both want to get tested. However, she told me when I go to bumrungand hospital I have to give personal information like passport number.
I do not want to give this information. Am I able to do it annonymously? Also, if I tested positive would there be reprecussions, such as exportation?

You have to wait at least 6 months before you get tested for AIDS/HIV from the last condom break.
Get tested in your home country.
Chances of you coming down with AIDS/HIV from condom break is almost nil unless your penis had a cut or abrasion.

I agree about the chances being small. I know all the facts.
I am however in a different situation. I am not circumsised, which I hear increases the risk. In addition, one of the girls who the condom broke with had her period so there was a mix of blood and vaginal fluid on my penis.
The main reason I need to get tested is because my girlfriend wants it. I have not even told her about the condom breaks. She wont have sex until she sees the peice of paper.
Do you know where I can go without giving up information? I am very private.

there is a clinic on soi 11 which I usaully use. they request your name but that is only for their records! I am just wondering how many donald ducks and mickey mouse they have in their books!

Agree that the Anonymous Clinic is the place to go. The Thai Red Cross runs it. It has moved and is now just across from Lumpini Park near Sarasin Road. Next to a big water tower, or something like that. You pay and get a number. No names.
If you are after a PCR tests, which test for the virus itself instead of the antibodies, you can do that at Bumrungrat Hospital The doctor you see can arrange for it to be done anonymously, at your request.
The PCR is good for those urgent cases where you need to know quickly. It is sensitive roughly 2 weeks after exposure. Costs more, though. Results take a few days.
The antibody test (as at the Red Cross) gives you results immediately, but is only good for exposure of three months prior, and in rare cases, 6 months.

Excuse me but arent there test kits on the market now,
They are available from pharmacies in europe for a while do it yourself HIV test kits....
Also anything like this I would think find a bar girl you know for more than two hrs with more than two brain cells.
If you are in Bangkok try a girl from bkk she should know, do they not need to be tested themselves ? Try the mama san ? discretely of course thats there job ?
