Five years after a vasectomy and five years with my wife, it is finally time to try and have the plumbing restored. I've scoured the net and contacted several hospitals and clinics in Bangkok, interviewed three candidates on the short list, and have tentatively settled on a urologist who operates at BHN hospital, as well as teaching elsewhere (guess according to board rules, I can't put his name here). This seems to be know his stuff and be a straight talker.
Now, this is not the sort of surgery a guy wants to have more than once. Ok, not even once, really. It seems that the quality of the repair job can directly affect whether the repair actually works, and how easily pregnancy is achieved. So, while this guy is tentatively, selected, I am wondering whether anybody on this board would be so kind to:
A. Tell me of your experience with this particular doctor, or BNH hospital in Bangkok,
B. Recommend a urologist who specializes in microsurgical reconstruction, and who is really good, or
C. Give suggestions of how to deal with transpacific air travel (and all that walking around with my carry-on) two weeks after the surgery.

I am also looking to have a reversal.... I went to Bumrungrad and the price is a little higher than I would like, does anyone have any experiences with this one?

Can't you just get the sperm taken out from wherever they live and have them injected into the missus. Then no need for reverse, no need to go and have it done again and then no need to want it reversed again in another 5 years.
I think this may be a bteer option as you do not seem to be that great at decision making in the first place.

around $5,000 at Bumrungrad..... and the reason I got one (old wife) is not longer valid as the new wife wants kids.... pulling the sperm and putting itinto her costs alot, and she has an anversion to needles.... I asked her while she is pregnant if it would be ok if I f***ed her sister....... we will see

Seems like that marriage won't last too long, so I wouldn't worry too much about the reversal issue.
By the way, artificial insemination does not use needles. Think Turkey Baster.

but the girl has to take a series of shots in her stomach..... that is what scares a lot of Thai ladies.... when the doc sits there and tells them that for something like 20 days in a row they will need a shot......
guys, don't read too much into what I write about who I ask to f***, this is a long thought out thing what I am doing, and I am just asking for help on hospitals, costs etc.....
