Stickmans latest column made mention this pharmacy will apparently sell you prescription drugs w/o a prescription, if so how much trouble will you be in if your are lucky enough to get hassled by the BIB as you stroll on your merry way down the Suk, my guess your life will be ruined, if you are determined to do buisness there might it be wiser to let your gf take care of this for you?

Why bother?
I just brought my prescription bottles (empty and with no refills) to a clinic on Soi 22 that my TGF uses. Waited 10 minutes to see the doctor, who checked my blood pressure and weighed me.
Then he filled all the bottles. 55555 About 10% of the cost of the same pills in the USA. I've done this before, gotten back to the USA and been checked out by my US doctor who said the pills are working fine.
I've used this doctor several times for this over the last year.
Oh, BTW, the doctor charged me 100bt for the doctor's visit!!!

I think a little misunderstanding, you had your empty prescription bottle re-filled with the help of a clinic doctor, I'm talking about walking into a pharmacy & purchase a prescription drug w/o a prescription
The only pharmacy I know of that will still do that on certain items is on Soi 22, maybe Chareon will too, talking about Xanax & diazepam, was trying to find out how serious the BIB view this
But you bring up a good suggestion that might help avoid problems, have your gf guide you to a clinic where a Dr. will write you a legitiment prescription

Wanted to buy some Xanax there about a year ago. Said they only had generic Xanax. 100 Baht for 20 pills. The pills were stamped with a name, but I could not find any info at all (!!!!!) on the internet. Decided to throw them away.

Well, I didn't have a prescription, per se, since all I had were bottles that said no refills left - but I understand what you are getting at.
There are a lot of fake medicines out there on the market. With the price of the real medicines so cheap compared to the USA, I would make sure to go to a real doctor and get a real prescription.
And, as I said earlier, when I got back to the States I got blood work and a physical by my doctor that verified that the medicines were all working correctly.
And, try to get them in the original packaging. That may give you some information to look up on the Internet (although the packaging can be faked as well).

bought xanax a few times from this place.
the quality wasnt so good, but it wuz a bit of help.
the original ones could be bought easily at huay kwang,the pharmacy is located mid soi.

These posts are almost a year old & things change. I have a prescription bottle from the US for some pain medication. As far as I have been able to learn, the active ingredient is not available in Thailand, brand name or generic. However they must have something comparable.
Does anyone know a friendly pharmacist or doctor in Bangkok who might help me out?

While many of the Class 2/3 narcotics are not available here, locally there are many different of pain medications available both OTC and from the doc. What is it that you have a scrip for?

There's also that pharmacy (forget the exact name, but something like East Asian) on Sukhumvit between Soi 15 and 13 that is well regarded and seems to sell good quality drugs. You might bring your prescription bottle to them for a look.

Recently in a PTY pharmacy was told by the clerk Abien & Xanax not sold in LOS, but now diazapan being sold around town, different quality at different places
