Hmmmmm...depends on the op.....it is a well known ploy to unload some cash from men who are overseas.
Damned if you do...damed if you don't.
The only way to get around it is to get someone to go with her and hear the estimates or to view some paperwork....TPE is the man...depends on how much you wanna check it out

Check out the price list at Bumrumgrad Hospital web eye department. Cataract operations range from 28000 baht to 40000 baht. If you email them about a specific service, they will respond within a day or so. Up north in Udon Thani, price for cataract surger about the same. X-check my thread "Sometimes Granny really needs an operation" for a real story. I haven't tried the other address listed in this thread; wouldn't hurt to do so.
