I've never had one break, but I heard it happens.
My paranoid mind is always scheming to find a way out of catching something, so here are some Q's:
1.How often does one break on you?
2.Does wearing 2 make you safer? Do they ever both break?
3.Are there certain positions that make it more likely to break? What about anal sex?
4.Any bad brands? Loose vs. Tight fitting.

Wearing 2 condoms will increase chance of breaking them since the friction between condoms are higher than the friction between condom and flesh.
3.Are there certain positions that make it more likely to break? What about anal sex?
Anal will definitely increase the chance of breaking it.

More lifelong observations about condoms.
A condom is more likely to break if it doesn't fit. If it's too small change brands or styles. The goal is snug, not stranglingly tight, not almost slipping off.
Get all the air out. This makes it about impossible for it pop from the inside. If the jimmy has a resevoir tip, squeeze it flat or rotate it so no air air gets in or stays in.
If it doesn't, make one with the first one or two rolls of the condom, then as above. Making a tip also gives the rubber a little wiggle room as it settles in to accomodate your shape and less likely to tear at the closed end.
Put it on yourself. If the girl is a rookie or has long nails she can nick it and start a small tear. Hopefully you'll have a few hundred installations under your belt in short order.
If you've been doing a little foreplay, mind the pre-cum. If you start to put the jimmy on inside out, throw it away because reversing it at that point leaves semen and sperm on the outside. Giving an STD is wrong, getting a BG knocked up is low-class and in the DNA era very, very stupid.
Latex only. Sheepskin/gut is too transparent to HIV, and the newer silicone ones, well who knows? Rubber is the proven product.

Here's a little tip to see if a condom is breaking.
After you slip the first condom on, place some Tiger Balm on the outside of the condom. Then carefully slip another condom over the first one, being careful not to smear the Tiger Balm but keep it fully contained inside the second condom.
If, while you are doing the deed, she starts screaming, the outside one has broken.
If you start screaming, the inside one has broken.

Some good advice. thanks.
I've been wearing a extra loose extra large over a really tight local condom when I've felt nervous about it. I hear quite often you're safer if you wear two, but then again we hear about the friction mentioined by Supercool. I hope I'm not putting myself at more risk with two.
Even a 1% chance of being exposed to something is too much for any of us that go through many ladies. Have any of you heard about these "extra stong" condoms or gay condoms?
