A couple weeks ago, haam sup MAJORLY f_cked up his shoulder while performing a basic bodily function...
His GTGF, ever the compassionate, sent him some FABULOUS medicine, called Voltaren Emulgel 1%. ÝIts active ingredient is diclofenac, which hs has never heard of before.
It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory gel, and since it is applied topically, doesn't cause upset tummy...
Smells great, feels cool, and, more importantly, seems to work! ÝFor sprains, strains, arthritis, bursitis: all connective tissue boo-boos.
Highly recommended.

yup, it comes in pill form, too, but I suspect it would mess with one's tummy, like all NSAIDs...this stuff IS great!

This stuff is sold in the UK too under the brand name Voltarol gel. ÝAs a sporadic RSI sufferer (no smart comments about the cause please) I find it great stuff but be aware that diclofenac - the generic drug name - does cause stomach problems and really doesnt mix well with alcohol. ÝThis goes double for the pill form, but even the gel can have the same problems.

...i've been using diclofenac (Voltarol 75 mg tablets) now for about 7 years, and had no problems with alcohol intake, the only advice i am given is to try to take with food.
The gel sounds great though, any ideas where i can buy in the UK?
