Gee,guys, I didn'tknow!
I went to Boots the Chemist in Pattaya. I had a sore throat, was feeling a little low and had a rough cough (wet). Brown phlegm too.
The chemist prescribed Zithromax (at least I think so - I'll have to check the package; but from the price given here and the dosage, that seems to be it). 2 pills a day. Couldn't read the leaflet (all in Thai).
Now you're telling me I might have caught chlamydia?!
Any other explanation possible?

Go to a clinic, check it out. A chemist is not really the last word. Self- prescribing may miss the mark completely.
Clinics/hospitals are super cheap in LOS. For less than a BF and ST you can get peace of mind.

Currently I am clean. I hope to be in that same condition when I return from my trip to LOS.
Having a check up is good advice.
When you go in for a checkup do they give you the results that same day. If not, what is typical amount of time required to get the results of the test 2 or 3 days?
I am only in Thailand for 8 days.

Depends on the test for the particular problem they are testing for. Usually everything is done in 48 hours or less.
Now if they find something, that may result in retesting. It is so easy to get this stuff done. However some bugs take a while to appear so it is also a good idea to get tested again in a couple of months.
If you got a wife or regular girl back home it's essential for a peaceful re-entry into your normal sex patterns.

I picked up a dose of Chlamydia in BKK. Went to the doctors when I returned home, and was given ZITHROMAX. The test was a blood test, not the old 'umbrella scrape down your jap-eye' which hurts like you would not believe.
I had several BBBJs and did eat some pussy, but no unprotected 'full sex;
My ZITHROMAX pescription was 2 tablets to be taken together, rather than the usual antibiotic course over 5 or 7 days. I have to say the drips went after about 3 days.
I did quite a lot of research, and found that ZITHROMAX is used to treat all manner of 'minor' infections, usually with the usual 5 day course.
Also looked into Chlamydia. It is really infection, and from what I read, can be transmitted from oral sex, eye 'contact' (think sharing towels), etc.

I am back in BBK in February, and I am going to buy some ZITHROMAX and take 2 as I am on my way to the airport on my way home. To be extra sure.

I would recommend fingering your girl before and after the shower and smelling it. Also give the pussy and ass the eye exam. Listerine gargle before and after. And, don't forget to urinate and shower right after sex. Not a substitute for condom vaginal and anal sex. And after trip is almost over, get checked just to be on the safe side.
