of course i will post a reply.
the subject is rather old to me and others, has been discussed many times before.

but many of you know my opinion on the subject.
i will ask a girl if they want a condom?,if they say yes, then i wear one.
if they say no,then i do not.

always up to the girl, not me.
but saying that,on my last trip i was with an old friend and when we got back to the room, neither of us had any.
in the past we had always used them, but this time she just shrugged her shoulders and got down to business.
even though i was willing to get dressed and go to the local 7-11.
her choice.

my last trip i had 21 ladies and only 6 without condom.
3 are regulars and we have never used them in the past and it was the choice of the other 3 not to use them

Hey Nokna, sort of like playing russian roulette huh?  Instead of a gun you can use germs.  Good luck but my money is on the house.

it amazes me how many people assume all these girls are walking germ houses.
why bother going with them in the first place?.
is everyone 100% sure that by wearing a condom they will NEVER EVER Ýcatch any sort of disease?.

On the topic of condoms and sexually transmitted diseases, here is one person opinion. No statics, but just information for each person to digest and interpret as they like.

Here is an article posted on the web:
http://www.thebody.com/Forums/AIDS/SafeSex/Current/Q139515.html

The response is from Ryan M. Kull a clinical Social Worker at Columbia University's Health and Related Services.

QUESTION:
Describe and explain how std's are tranmitted.
Describe and compare HIV and AIDS, the similarities and differences and how they are connected.
Describe and explain ways in wich people get HIV-AIDS and indentifiy activities that do not transmit HIV.

RESPONSE:
Don't forget that HIV is a sexually transmitted infection. Because HIV is such a terrible epidemic it is often separated from the "STI" category. It is important to remember that the HIV and some other STIs are transmitted in very similar ways.

Each sexually transmitted infection is caused by a different microorganism, so it's sort of complicated to try to describe transmission of all STIs in one answer. If you have a concern about a particular STI--because you have symptoms or you know that you have been exposed to infection--I suggest that you talk with a medical professional and do some research about that particular STI. See STD Basics here at The Body.

A basic model for STI transmission describes transmission in two different ways: either through contact with FLUID (like semen or vaginal secretions) or direct skin-to-skin CONTACT. Here's the breakdown:

STIs spread by FLUIDS:

Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, HIV, Urinary Tract Infections/ Nongonnococcal Urethritis, Hepatitis B (HBV), (Hepatitis is also found in saliva, so kissing is a risk), Syphilis Cytomegalovirus (CMV), Trichomoniasis (Trich)

STIs spread by CONTACT (skin-to-skin):

HPV/Genital Warts, Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV), Molluscum Contagiosum, Chancroid, Syphilis, Crabs/Pubic Lice, Scabies

You can get certain STIs by performing oral sex on a person. Remember, they must be infected with an STD in order for transmission to be possible (sometimes I need to state what may seem obvious). Some STDs that are present as sores or lesions on the skin, like herpes, HPV, and syphilis, may be transmitted to you by having oral contact with the infected areas. Other STIs that are transmitted by fluids or infected mucous membranes in the penis, like gonorrhea, hepatitis B, and syphilis, can also infect you orally (ejaculation in the mouth probably has little to do with it). There are certain sexually transmitted diseases that can be transmitted to your genitals via somebody's mouth. Any infections that occur in or around the mouth, or are transmitted through fluids in the mouth, could theoretically be transmitted to your genital region. STIs that could be transmitted through RECEIVING oral sex are herpes, syphilis, hepatitis B, gonorrhea, and HPV, but not HIV.

Condoms, when used correctly during sexual intercourse, are effective against many sexually transmitted infections, especially those that are transmitted by fluids (like HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia). A man wearing a condom protects the covered area of his penis (urethra, head and shaft) from exposure to virus and bacteria. The condom should also protect the mucous membranes (lining or interior) of the vagina, anus and mouth from exposure to STDs located on the penis or in penile fluids. Condoms are most effective in preventing transmission of FLUID-related STIs.

Condom effectiveness varies when the STI is spread through skin-to-skin CONTACT. STIs that are characterized by lesions or sores on the skin may occur outside of the condom barrier -- for instance, on the scrotum or the exterior of the anus or vagina. Exposed skin or mucous membranes (areas not covered or protected by the condom) coming into CONTACT with these lesions or sores could become infected. Condoms will not protect you from crabs/pubic lice and scabies.

- of course also many figures / quotes available about the difficulty of catching the dreaded disease ABC, rated  around a 9000/1 chance bt having straightforward intercourse - no doubt the odds lessen with those using other variations,   ... and another simple question, why are so many Thai Girls, who do little more than drink, take drugs, sleep and have sex, i.e. must have an imune system of almost zero, - still parading their wares daily ???     I can point out 15 -20 to you any day of the week in this category, who to my knowledge have been active, and raely use condoms, over the past 10 years - suffice to say I know of far more BGs who have been killed by road accidents in Thailand than of any/all diseases combined -   T I T.

The point is Nokna that all of the girls are not walking germ houses and neither are all their friends however, it only takes one and then a guy like you comes along (thinking young and invincible) and gives it to all his friends and their friends.  How are you going to tell all your friends when you come up with something?  Friends don't risk the lives of friends over the use of a condom.  Hell, I'm old and insensitive and a condom still works great.

i agree,my friends would not be pleased if i passed something on.
after all,my friends are all male.
i have not touched a western woman for years, not interested.

but as usual,i say my piece, people make their comments but then cannot be bothered to answer any questions i might ask.

tunnel vision methinks.

and of course i am the only person in the whole wide world who has ever been with a woman without a condom.
if people cannot be bothered to accept other views/opionions then why do they bother to post replies.

all i ever said was that i PREFER Ýnot to use a condom, not that i INSIST.
i am not as experienced as many of the members on this board when it comes to thailand and still have a lot to learn.

in my visits i have f_cked 187 women(i keep count) and only 9 of those have been without condom, and that includes one's that have broken and we have not realised until the end,but then again i suppose thats my fault, being irresponsible for not using 3-4 condoms at once.

I would definitly recommend you wear condoms 100% of the time. I have recently returned from Bangkok & Koh Samaui. I slept with 2 BG's in BKK (1 without condom), 4 in KS and again 1 without condom. I have been diagnosed with Gonorrhea, awaiting tests for Chlamydia & sysphillis and may go for a AIDS test - though the risks for AIDS are low, they still exist!

In all of this, i believe i caught the STD's from the first BG in BKK, and i may have spread this to the BG in KS, for this i feel guilty & stupid, and having visited, been treated & lectured in an STD clinic i can say it is not a particularly pleasant experience. Not one i wish to repeat! And just think how many other men have done exactly what i have done! It just proves how easily STD's can spread.
My next trip to LOS will definitly include a healthy supply of condoms that i will use 100% of the time.
