Sure beats what I just paid last week for a full physical in the US. Paid $300 to the doctor and $950 in lab fees. There were just a couple more lab tests than normal with EKG and testosterone count added.

Bumrungrad's comprehensive test is best. I will highly recommened it. BHT 11,000 Just about 4 hours including breakfast in the hospital mez. floor resturant. If you will go before 8 am then you can get the report on the same day.
You can fix an appointment throught there website. 12 hours fasting before test.

**Warning**
Don't read this if you get bored easily, do read it if you want to follow my experiece in getting a medical check up at Bumrungrad Hospital.
Off to Bumrungrad Hospital for an "Executive Program" medical check up, 9th Floor main building. Start at 09:50, they say it’s gona take two hours for tests and results with chat to MD at 13:00 same day, allegedly! Nil-by-mouth from midnight previous day (I had 15 Gin & Tonics but nothing after midnight!) and I get a voucher (Baht 80) from the hospital for food at Dairy Express in the hospital food court. Paperwork takes 5 mins then I paid by visa Baht 4340 (Executive Program plus PSA test). Easy to follow directions with "tour guides" who take you along the corridor for the tests all on 9th floor.
Room A: Blood pressure check 142/84, pulse 58, temp 36.6C, 61Kg, 1.7M, 18 respirations/min, eyes okay with spectacles.
Room B: They take some blood, urine and stool samples to be given but I can’t! It’s difficult if you have neither drank nor eaten anything in past 10 hours! As I'm waiting for the ECG to be available (there’s a queue) a nurse changes my urine and stool sample containers, wtf! I must give urine within 1 hour and stool within 4 hours or I wont get the results on time!
ECG place very busy so off to MD for a chat instead. Moving along quickly like a factory production line! Medical history check, physical examination, glaucoma check, ears, reflexes, palpate abdomen, check my joints and quick chat. Everything okay.
Room C: ECG with Tok from Korat, chatty and cute! 10:50 one hour gone already.
Room G: Ultrasound and chest X-Ray. Huge queue, drink some water then they take me to the second floor for Ultrasound/X-Ray instead.
Second Floor (X-Ray/Ultrasound) : Chest X-Ray then go 20 meters down corridor for Ultrasound of upper abdomen. Takes a long time, cutie (wearing sneakers!) finds a few polyps in my gall bladder, no cause for concern apparently! They’ve just physically checked my liver, kidneys, spleen, pancreas, gall bladder, stomach and all the other “bits” in that area. Combined with the other tests e.g. blood, urine etc., it’s pretty comprehensive. Off to the bog to collect and deliver my urine and stool samples they give you a spoon! Finished now at 11:54, just short of 2 hours since I checked-in and I’m starvin’!
Lunch
Dairy Express is a food court but Ayame is a Japanese restaurant (Mezzanine floor). Not many set meals with only seafood as most are pork, beef or chicken mixes but I like Sushi so I tuck in!
On the way back for my chat to the MD I see my urine and stool samples still in lab tray not yet processed but my appointment with the MD about results is at 13:00. I'm there on time but have to wait for 20 mins. After a long chat the MD says everything’s okay and I get a fully typed and bound report that details all my tests, my results and a comparison against “norms”. I agree to call the MD back after a couple of hours to get the results of the outstanding tests.
Conclusion: I haven’t detailed all of my results (way to many to list here), suffice to say that this is a very professionally run hospital with great facilities where they shepherd you around but at the same time there is very little waiting even though there were lots a folk getting similar tests. Not sure if it was really the best value but I’ve had my 50th B’day so I think it’s worthwhile to do this every coupla years, for my peace of mind if nothin’ else! I recommend the Executive Program with PSA (Prostate check).

PS. Just goes to show that over 30 years of excessive drinking, smoking (on occasion), injestin' many poisons, never gettin' enough sleep and exercise and generally abusing my body hasn't had too much of a detrimental effect.
