I went to the ambassador courtyard today to have a look for "theethrus" as I needed a filling redone. I had seen them there in the past, but they appear to have either moved or closed up shop.
Anyone know what happened to them? I'll have a look at Asavanant at the corner of Sukhumvit Rd and Sukhumvit Soi 55 tomorrow, as I need to have this filling fixed quickly.

Might have to have a look there too. Had a look at Asavanant today, they seem to be very professional, but with the prices to match.

not sure if prices at the dental hospital have climbed - or if prices at home are wayt more than I thought.
i need a root canal and I have been quoted 25 - 27000 B at 3 diff places - dental hospital, president park dental (soi 24) and a hole in the wall japanese place on 24/1
is that as god as it gets? does not seem even $1 less expensive than home, miond you I have not been to a dentist forever - but is it really 1800$ at home for a root canal??

Don't know about you, but 27,000 Baht translates to roughly $700 in my world (US $), unless you're dealing with some other dollars....

ask a Thai girl with some 'brains where she goes, the cheapest places are the government places ive never had root canal done just about 5 fillings and two pulled last year it was 30 dollars.
i have to go next month so I will make notes this time, I need to make an implant for one I took out last year, western prices are ridiculous.
but im talking about places outside a bit,not in the touristy areas around suk that probably see you coming and toke up the price.
I could be wrong of course,just guessing so don;t start flaming me if im wrong

For what its worth, I go to a dental clinic called DC One.

They are pricier than most places in Bangkok, but they are still a lot cheaper than anywhere in the West and you're getting among the very best service in the world. I sincerely mean this. Asavanant is good for me,a little more expensive than some but good.
I 've had a couple of root canals done there recently which were about 6000 baht each I also had a three piece bridge made up and fitted for 45000baht.
